Steak crostini with blue cheese and Red Onion Confit/with video
Ingredients
- 1 steak weighing approximately 250 grams
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 4 tbsp Callas Confiture Red Onion Confit
- 100 gram blauwe kaas, verkruimeld
- 12 slices of baguette or French loaf
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- Sprinkle the steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until it reaches the desired doneness. Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest under aluminium foil.
- Cut the steak into thin slices.
- Place the slices of baguette on a baking tray and toast them in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, or until they are lightly crispy.
- Spread a spoonful of red onion confit on each slice of baguette. Top with thinly sliced steak. Crumble the blue cheese over the top and serve!
